---Etsy---

I finally have found a way to sell my work online! I've posted several new an old paintings on Etsy so people can buy them with an easy payment and shipping method. Currently there are original paintings available and in the next few weeks I'll have prints for sale as well. Check it out!

---New Paintings---

I'm currently doing a new series of paintings for the "Configurations" art show at Project X gallery in Solana Beach, coming up on March 27th (2 weeks! -mark your calendar)
I've been working on over 15 new paintings in the last two and a half months and I am really excited to present them, along with other work I've done in the past. I'll be showing my work with Skye Walker, another really talented local artist who's work is well known around California.
"Configurations" is about the relative disposition or arrangement of the parts or elements of nature, the human form, shapes and colors.
Hope to see you at the show!

---Inspire---

My work is like a stream of consciousness- usually I paint what ever comes to mind in what ever style I feel like. For this series of paintings I tried to stay focused on making the themes and styles coincide, however due to my sporadic tendencies they are all quite different.
My influences come from everything around me. I try to keep a theme of positive energy in my work, painting things that I love and know other people can relate to.
Right now my greatest artistic influences come from the art nouveau period. Artist such as Gustav Klimt, Will Bradley & Aubrey Beardsley inspire me, however my work is far from a reflection of theirs.

---Luv for Haiti---

Through January and February I spent a lot of time doing freelance work for a Haiti fundraiser. The campaign was called "Leucadia Sends Luv" and was put together by "It's a Luv Thing" and "Kids for Peace". I designed t-shirts, hang tags and invitations for the banquet, as well as email blasts and web design. In mid February a beautiful event was held with food and prizes donated from restaurants and boutiques from all over Leucadia and Encinitas. The shirts are still being sold at "It's a Luv Thing" in Leucadia.

---Jedidiah---

In mid September of '09 I started working as a graphic artist/ designer for Jedidiah, a clothing company out of San Diego. There I worked with the talented artists Kelli Murray Larson & Troy Carniglia, primarily designing artwork for t-shirts. In December I spent a lot of time working on the interior design of their retail store that was open to the public right before Christmas.
My experience with Jedidiah was short & sweet and taught me a lot that I'm using in my freelance career today!

---Shine Your Light---

I designed a few t-shirts for "It's a Luv Thing" boutique in Leucadia. I met the owner Kamie Archinal while attending one of her "happy hour/acoustic guitar jam sessions" in the gardens attached to her store. We hit it off immediately and I created art work for two "empowering/ positive message" tees for her. They are currently being sold in her store, along with many other amazing, original pieces of clothing and jewelry.

---Pet Portraits---

I've started doing pet portraits recently & am really enjoying it. Pet pictures I've painted previously have been done in a more realistic, traditional style. In the past few months, I've been playing with brighter colors and wild background patterns for my commissioned paintings. The more vibrant palette brings a lot of character to the animals and makes painting them really fun! If you want your pet painted e-mail me: amandamuellerart@mac.com & I'll give you a very good price ;0

--- Project X Gallery ---

In the end of August I had my work in "Project X Gallery"on Cedros Blvd, in Solana Beach. It was the opening show for the gallery and presented work of artists that will continue to display their work in various other shows throughout the year. It was my first show since I graduated RISD & everything went really well. Join me on March 27, 2010, when I will have new pieces on display with Skye Walker for our show "Configurations".
